Manmade problem with known solutions. Nature plays a role, though.

Foreshadowing of what many cities all over the world are going to face as things heat up with climate change. People will migrate towards potable water if technological solutions are not in place to extract water from the atmosphere or desalinize sea water.

Canada has some ridiculously high percentage of the world’s fresh water with all the lakes here vs the rest of the planet. Wouldn’t shock me if Canada’s population grows by multiples within my lifetime, housing crisis be damned. If I had to flee somewhere that was waterless I’d camp next to a lake in Canada vs stay there and die.

Capetown, Mexico City.. these are just the canaries in the coal mine. Energy is old hat.. future wars will be fought over water.
