This thread seems to be akin to a festering wound filled with yellow, acidic pus. The arguments are ingrown and infected, hashed out constantly to no avail. No one will ever WIN a debate here. Don't you get it?!?!?!?!

well, the forum is for discussing this issues, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense having a Politics, Philosophy, and Religion Forum.

People need a place to lick their wounds, point at a common enemy, and take their frustration out on what they feel is the establishment. While I doubt you'll find too much that you'll really walk away from reading feeling smarter what can you do, people are people, aspies are just as f'd as NTs in so many ways that you might as well keep your expectations low to the ground.

Flagg: Ahhh I spot a Hellsing fan. Gooood......

Whether God is a myth, or Christianity is folklore shouldn't stop us from being able to debate the topic. To me, it's the ones that feel insecure about the whole concept of what they are believing that is what we are getting stuck into. Raggy might firmly believe what he is saying, but does he really feel secure? Same with Johnny et al. We may never find out who is right, and who is wrong, be we can at least debate it...

So you're saying that since we can't really find an answer overnight we should close our eyes forever to the unknown and never think about anything other than what's in front of our noses?

You, sir, are depraved.

I'm not depraved. I just think this forum is more an exchange of fists than an exchange of ideas.

John 8:31-32
(31) Jesus therefore said to those of the Jews who had now believed in Him, "As for you, if you hold fast to my teaching, then you are truly my disciples;
(32) and you shall know the Truth, and the Truth will make you free."

Pertaining to your statement in the heading Myth is a God. I think it can be, but then, I believe in freedom of religion. I allow myself to be wrong about anything, until I tell me otherwise.

It's a Bansky work. I sure can't claim it, great story behind it. He stuck it in a major museum in Britain, it was up for a while and they didn't have a clue he had done it till he told them. They added it to their permenent collection. :)

I think that deifying myth is akin to idolatry.
