Against whom? Didn't he have all of his opponents killed?

The overwhelming figure, which some sources put at around 88% of people who supposedly voted for him, is quite laughable.

Not really, as tons of voters waited in line at the end of the voting day.
A clever protest as Russian citizens aren't normally allowed to assemble in groups.
Not online and certainly not in public.
But there they were, long lines of Russian citizens out together in public!

He calls his elections fair and transparent than ours. If that were true, he wouldn't be serving FIVE terms in office.

Even western organisations admit all opinion polls in Russia put Putins approval rating around 70% or at least above 50% as a minimum.

So someone with an approval rating of around 70% winning an election is hardly a surprise.

The problem is there is no credible opposition running.

From what I read there’s the communists that attract mostly the elderly, the so called liberal party who are not liberal that was once led by a nut case more extreme in violence than Putin.

All 3 support the war

The only way to protest is to stay away so turnout is the best way to measure support.

Having said that in US there’s the uni party of rep / dem and UK cons / lab so it’s hard to find a good credible democracy anywhere at the moment.

The election choices were Putin or to be thrown off a balcony or pushed out a window

He made sure of it

Because it's illegal to not support the war. It's pretty hard to run for election when you're in jail (and possibly having an "accident". But don't worry, the doctors will say he died from "sudden death syndrome")

That's what they did to Nicholas II but the difference is he lost the support of the military so he was defenseless. I don't think that will happen to Putin.

We can only wait until he passes from old age and gets replaced by someone similar who also holds "fair and transparent" elections.
