Even according to the holy bible -God does not punish a new generation for the sins of a former generation. But God does hold children who don't learn from their parents' mistakes accountable. It is the responsibility of every generation to not repeat the mistakes of those that came before them.

I would like to see the descendants of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington or even Werhner Von Braun stop deifying their ancestor and accept they were not the "bright shiny" human beings they are portrayed as,
