Ignoring inequality and focusing on something else really isn't a solution for achieving equality, it's literally just choosing to distract from the topic of equality with something more glamorous.

There are obviously some personal affairs that should be abandoned and some that should be kept. Where do you think the line is?

Individualism creates inequality. Liberals create inequality. Nationalists create inequality. The topic of equality is still a thing because equality is not about favoring personal matters. It is about the collective struggle against the common enemy and a collective work towards a better future. No matter the race, religion, ethnicity, or gender, we're all equal and we should strive for progress that fits all and equality that fits all.

I'd agree with you.. except I don't.

We're not all the same, though. We just aren't. I can't even buy almost any normal pants/jeans in a store because my legs are too long and thick. I can go through an entire mall and not find a single pair of jeans that fit at any price. Thankfully the cheap ones from Costco that have some elastic in them fit and function well enough to wear - bonus they stretch a bit so the crotches don't rip out climbing scaffolds. Same for many long sleeved shirts. Anyways, I can naturally reach things off the top shelf that short people can't because they're not equal to my height or reach.

We don't all have the same abilities, skills etc. There's a reason a friend of mine has made Milions of dollars, wins many different types of competitions, has amazing focus, drive, motivation, sales and negotiating skills etc and it's because he's different from Most people. He's just wired different to begin with and then he's put in the work to optimise himself for his own objectives.

Even when people are grouped together working towards a common goal they're not all the same. Take soldiers for example... there will be a Leader with leadership qualities, a second in command, a medic with medical knowledge, someone great with communications, people with short and long distance weapons expertise, someone good with transportation, someone good with strategic planning etc etc different people different natural abilities different learned and trained skillsets and so on. They can work together towards a common goal, but it requires many different unequal people to do it.

People should work cooperatively towards a common goal, though. Whether human caused or sun cycles, if climate change is the real deal then that's the massive common goal we'll all need to work together towards solving/mitigating. Those with minimal resources might plant trees by hand, while someone with massively unequal resources might own and operate a fleet of tree planting drones and an ocean plastic cleaning ship. But we Can all work together towards a common goal.

His achievements are shaped by his life experiences.Everyone can have lofty aspirations and a healthy mind and body. No one is born with great abilities. Even ambition and health are taught by his living environment-family and school. Those who fail to achieve have no one to give them educational resources or to teach them to be ambitious and healthy. There are natural differences between people, but no one is born with the ambition or talent to be a thief or a drug addict.

They have different division of labor, but they can still be equal. The most skilled McDonald's receptionist in the world doesn't have the same social status as the boss.Should a person in a certain position be inferior to others? With the right education, everyone deserves a job worth more than a McDonald's receptionist.

The technical content of different professions is different, but the talent content of different people is similar.People in slums are taught how to rob and provok the police, while people in resorts are taught how to manage staff and behave decently at banquets. How can these two compete with each other? If families are exchanged, can they get to the position they 'deserve' only by their individual differences?

Chances are I'm attacking a straw man, so hopefully my mistake will be pointed out.

You do not understand the point of communism. Communism isn't when everyone has to be the same because we do not want people to have the same ability. Communism is about rewarding every career path and every job with good pay. Communism rewards hard work regardless of ability. Even the mentally disabled are given a job opportunity with a workplace designated to fit for their environment and comfort. However, Communism does not tolerate laziness and a communist state must combat unemployment by creating job opportunities with new workplaces of all sectors for everyone.

The equality within work is that everyone is rewarded with hard work. They have to work hard so there will be rewards and punishments. Unlike how people like to talk about how communism is lazy, it is not. A communist economy is to simply operate with evenly distributing the profit among the workers. Ownership of the means of production is meant to be in the hands of the working class itself. The state owns thing such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, military, residence, urban and rural planning, and law enforcement. The state simply uses the progressive tax money from the worker-owned business to invest in these so that workers are ensured a comfortable life with fair standards set by the state.

Those who do not work but have working capacities will be punished for laziness. Those who do not work and lack working capacities must be given education and the government must prioritize education for a range of careers they want to partake in. More workplaces means more open jobs and less unemployment.

That is what communism is supposed to be, using our uniqueness to contribute to the common good because no matter our abilities, we can use our own abilities and skills to at least give a positive image for the whole communist society!

You’re suggesting all humans are born with the same potential and the only difference is nurture. I disagree. It’s also nature. People are born with a wide variety of natural potential in every aspect. Some people are natural athletes, others don’t have much chance of ever being very athletic or competitive. Some people posses the type of intelligence to become engineers or doctors, others not so much. Etc.

This is why communism keeps failing every time it’s tried. People that are more capable, mentally/physically etc, that aren’t rewarded more for their more valuable contributions end up fleeing to a capitalist society, or figure out a way to manipulate and game the system to their advantage.. often by working in the government that administers the system, being corrupted, and living a higher level lifestyle than communist worker bees.

Communism works great for labourers and grunts and basic paper pushers of all types, but it doesn’t work so s**t hot for anyone in a role that capitalism tends to reward higher. So, those that contribute high value roles tend to not want to receive a lower reward than they would get under a different system that rewards their knowledge/skills/abilities. Hard to keep a system going where people who deviate themselves to years of specialized training receive the same lifestyle as those who do not or cannot.

I mean you're not wrong. A pure communist economy is quite bad in practice but hey, at least Yugoslavia had market socialism. When you don't want pure communism but you don't want to be capitalist, why not go market socialist? Production is motivated not for profit but by market economy. Profit is still distributed and surplus values then end up on the market. Less restrictions but still no private property as the means of production are still under social ownership under the supervision of worker councils rather than the state since the state is for emergency purpose in case of an economic downturn.

Passing economic reforms is important but make sure not to relax too much on the measures otherwise you will end up going liberal capitalist. Don't let the state do everything because that's state capitalism for you. I hereby see market socialism as a vital alternative for an economy that will prevent capitalism from the individuals or the state. When Yugoslavia practiced market socialism, it did give economic growth. The main issue was lack of regional equality as Croatia and Slovenia were the only developed regions. Also, the lack of economic reforms to maintain market socialism resulted in Yugoslavia stagnating by the late 1960s and declining upon Tito's death in 1980. Ante Marković worsened the economy with attempted shock therapy that made many worker-owned businesses go bankrupt since competition wasn't something Yugoslavia expected for its own businesses.

If we're gonna talk about competition, then Yugoslavia should have competed to get more money and at least invest in important stuff such as developing all of the republics in Yugoslavia. I'm pretty sure that Yugoslavia had potential to make global significance and continental significance if it properly directed the mechanism for the international market. Then again, market socialism doesn't mean capitalism with socialist character, it's just anti-capitalist and anti-state capitalist.

Communism doesn't work because biologically humans learn through operant conditioning (like animals) which is incentivised through reward. It's also pointless to keep bringing up a dead philosophy with modern identity as nobody walks around espousing communism anymore. It might be legacies of communism in Yugoslavia but its not something we in the west spent sleepless nights over.

The classic thought experiment about the liberal and communist approaches to equality is something like...

Would you rather live in a society of 100 people where everyone has $5?

Or a society of 100 people where one person has $50, 90 people have $7-$10, and 9 people have $2-$4?

The first society is more equal, but most people are worse off than in the second unequal society.

There will be liberals and communists on both sides of the argument (as well as those who criticise the thought experiment), but generally speaking I think liberals will say that, when push comes to shove, reducing poverty is more important than reducing inequality - you can always tax the rich person more than the others and redistribute a bit of his wealth, whereas if you seize it all then it might hamper your long-term efforts to reduce poverty.

Liberalism defies reality with toxic optimism and segregation of communities. The longer you live, the more you learn, the more you will realize that what you have been taught by the American system is nothing but the capitalist liberal elite harming your mind into donating money to the institutions that claim to help minorities when it is the opposite of that and such money often ends up unknowingly stolen. The more deception and lies there are, the dearer will be Tito. Bestowed he did the Yugoslav land with Brotherhood and Unity and treasured it as if it were his golden child. When he died and no one looked after it, Yugoslavia lost its purpose because others refused to continue teaching it how to manage itself at once and combat fascism, liberalism, and imperialism.

We are living in a world where we must write history for history before us was never written by a divine entity that we do not know of if it even exists or not. What we must be aware of is that truth isn't universal. Everyone claims that they have a truth but they never caught it. The truth is far from being reached. I pursue the truth that is that we are all downright selfish to the point where we lash out on others for not being more accepting of fat people and we falsely accuse them of "fat shaming" without even knowing the proper definition of "fat shame".

I've lost a friend because she couldn't accept me because I had a hard time accepting her (yet I never did unfortunately) and she tried to make me pity her and make me feel insecure of my own self and my behavior. I resisted. I didn't want the type of person I was presented to. Even if she was kind to me at first, her problem came the moment she had to prioritize her issue and disregard my struggle and tried to tell me how she struggled more than I did, completely underestimating me and making me more uncomfortable because I simply do not fit in with these neurotypicals.

For weeks and even months, I've been crawling through the tunnel, yearning to find the light at the end of it, yearning to find the person I truly want to be with for the rest of my life. The concept of divorce and separation is rather scary but once you analyze who your friend really is, you have no other choice but to either keep going through the path of hell or break the chain and erase the oppressor from your mind at once through meditation and recovery with some time alone and some bonding with your close friends and family members.

Why was I presented with this emotionally painful struggle the moment I got a close friend? I did not cause it. I didn't even expect it. For the first time, I was introduced to something new that I couldn't accept no matter how much I dug myself into it. I felt helpless but I realized that I literally couldn't change myself over someone else's identity and I came to accept the painful truth that she had to go because she clearly wasn't fit to support my mental struggle.

The truth for me is a communist society. Achieving such is impossible and will never be done unless you try. Nearly two months have passed since then. Nearly two months without a close friend. Thinking about it demotivates me. Pursuing to move on and seek only ONE person that wants to be with me forever is the antidote to replenishing the curse placed upon me by the liberal scums who are the opium of the people. Empty promises they deliver. They're the ones responsible for corrupting a poor soul like her into thinking that she is something else. I am beginning to doubt that she even truly wanted to pursue for her own life as a different gender when she has consumed too much liberal material from the Internet and hinted at me at one point that she had some liberal views.

I have the right to doubt her pursuit of wonder because it is not the true wonder she pursues. Should she truly have had gender dysphoria, she could have at least expressed it her own way, not the way of the liberal capitalist agenda that forces people to do it. She never said that she did it on her own. She never said that she truly felt like it. She's simply following the example of someone else. I do have to say that following the example of someone else isn't necessarily bad because if we're following the example of a wise man then it is good. The only bad followers of the example are those who force it upon them in the name of "progress, freedom, justice, and unity" without even showing any empathy to those such as me who are struggling.

I believe that following the example of Tito is truly good. Tito had something to say wise enough and that is to never follow imperialism and focus on self-management and powerful muscles (metaphorically) to resist evil. Yugoslavia was kept intact because he was strong, self-capable, and wise enough to see through the barrier of censorship of what was exactly going on in the West and the East. We, Yugoslavs have been at most corrupted and deviated from Tito because of American and Russian propaganda directed against us since the fall of Yugoslavia. Those who begin to doubt the delusion of the Western and Eastern propaganda will know that the fall of Yugoslavia was a human catastrophe that marked the abrupt end of a journey that pursued happiness through sheer struggle fueled with self-preservation and the need for progress that is motivated by wisdom of one man that was Tito.

Yugoslavia was the beginning of defiance against the norms of the two imperialist forces. Now, it shall spread throughout the world. Many will rise and overthrow the capitalist regimes at once and begin a world journey pursuing for self-determination and the will to cooperate in the common struggle and the common goal of achieving progress and totality of all humankind. It is a hard task but with the right minds and right words, it can be executed.

All I ask is for one friend who will understand me. If not, then I will not let them tear me down further. If I can't seek for acceptance, I shall seek for power and establishing a safe zone of my own and look for like-minded people and establish my own Yugoslavia and not let the norms of the West and the East interfere against me! Do remember however that the common identity that is human is not a Yugoslav thing. The universal identity is not Yugoslavia. It is the wisdom of all humanity that the common identity bears for us and if we all were to use it, we would have lived in a better place.

All I want is just one person who will understand me. I do not want everyone to respect me if some don't want to. I just want one person and a small group in my own circle and nothing else. I want my own communist party and so I want my own Yugoslavia that is best fit for me and does not exert harm over others of different identities unless their identities are harm to others (e.g - Liberalism, Nationalism, Nazism, Fascism, Chauvinism, etc.). Certain identities are not to be tolerated as mentioned in the example because they do not seek for happiness from one to all but only seek for happiness of oneself.

The "overman" who has transcended the reality that is nothing but absurd and dull, is the same man who will reshape all with his unchallenged wisdom. One overman will rule them all and we will all come to a better place. Our differences will be put aside because we need to know that our own personal matters are personal matters and are therefore not a public matter. Public matters like affirming care for mentally unwell, security, free healthcare, free education, are important. Personal things like mental health conditions we suffer from are not just our own individual struggles, but it is the common struggle for we all have a mental condition called "blindness" because we're all blinded by the wall of delusion and fallacy until we tear it down like the Berlin Wall and hug one another from different ends, putting an end to this curtain once and for all.

From Yugoslavia, to the World!

As for the past, one cannot return and relive it. I don't want to return back and try to "fix the friendship". I want to re-create the past in a more positive tone. That is by finding someone who will never betray me with their narcissist individualism. Same traits of a good friend but the purpose has a meaning and it isn't going to give hell to me.

That is how Yugoslavia will come back. Yugoslavia will come back when we've proven our worth to re-create it in a positive light. Abandon narcissism, embrace the truth that is that we are social creatures and we should at least get together to celebrate the achievements of mankind instead of bickering over with nationalism, liberalism, and religion. Put those aside at once and you will see how easy it is to just mind your own business and not get people dragged into your pathetic excuses.

We will achieve communism only if we put differences aside and realize that identity is just an identity and has no greater or lesser value than communism itself. I have my identity which is being a Yugoslav and a tankie, but what I want is Brotherhood and Unity for all. My identity is not superior nor inferior but many people from the outside misinterpret it as such either due to fear, moral panic, propaganda, manipulation, and persecution. I am among the very few people who are being persecuted for wanting to achieve a true communist society.

You should make friends with a mirror if you can’t handle individual differences.

People are individuals. We have different personalities, morals, ethics, value systems, faiths, beliefs, interests, skills, abilities, political leanings, genders, sexual orientations etc etc etc.

Accepting those things and socializing together as one human race is true brotherhood & unity, not trying to force everyone into the same cookie cutter mould. IMO. And I do personally hangout with a MASSIVELY diverse group of humans that I don’t agree with on everything - but we still eat and drink together, listen to music, have fun in the sun on the beach.. yes; even with trump supporters. Lol

Your rant reads like a defence mechanism not wanting to accept, process, and deal with your autistic social deficits. Easier for you to daydream about forcing everyone to be and think the same as you so you can have friends than it is to accept that the only person you can change is You and that your best course of action is to learn from your mistakes and try and try again to make and keep friends in your life. There are quite a few different ways people on the spectrum can learn and improve social skills. You’d be doing yourself a better service exploring those things vs ranting that everyone else should change to become easier for you to befriend.
