Yes, this ad is directly aimed at Republicans. It says if you elect Trump he will abandon Ukraine to Putin.

To be fair there is a good chance that is what Trump would do if elected, but I was already going to vote democrat regardless of that add.

Before I saw the ad, I thought it meant that Trump would poison his critics (like Putin did to people like Navalny).

My issue is that a Ukrainian accent and a Russian accent are too similar for most people in the U.S. to distinguish between, and so a thick accent like this could be confusing.

The narrator has an accent that sounds like it could authenically Ukrainian. Works for me.
