I’m Nic! I’m 16 and most likely have Autism although I am undiagnosed. Despite my undiagnosis, my friend who is diagnosed thinks I am autistic and more importantly my psychiatrist thinks I’m autistic [and also ADHD and I couldn’t choose one thing wrong with my brain smh my head /j]

I really like Object Shows, the Sparklecare Hospital webcomic, and Undertale/Deltarune.

I’m willing to take suggestions for Object Shows to watch and webcomics to read!

I mostly like forum games so expect me to mostly lurk in that section though I am definitely open to attempting to make friends and posting in other sections!

Welcome to Wrong Planet. Since I am about 60 years older than you, I had to look up some of your traits.

According to one article on the internet:
Sparklecare is a trauma comfort comic made for the purpose of healing from trauma. It’s made for comfort, nothing more, nothing less.

Welcome!! I'm new too, I hope you find your space here :)

There's a lot of good information out there. Self-diagnosis in my eyes is completely valid, and brought me and many others to a formal diagnosis. The best thing you can do for yourself is find accommodations that work for you!

Welcome! I hope you like it here.

And, personally, I suspect that if you do not have some compelling need for a diagnosis then you might be better off without it...for a few decades.

If you get the diagnosis now then people will likely judge you based upon it. And some things might become unavailable for you. (For instance, one of the best things I ever did for myself was being in the U.S. military. It looks great on my resume and there are Veterans' Discounts.)

Without a formal diagnosis they'll just think you are odd. But they won't refuse to hire you because you are Autistic.

Then, when you are better-established in life, you can...if you choose...pursue a diagnosis.

Maybe don't wait as late as I did, however. All my life people thought I was odd or weird but the word "Autism" wasn't mentioned. (In part, because diagnostic criteria for it wouldn't have applied to me until I was 40 years old! Before that, they hadn't gotten around to writing the diagnostic criteria that would apply to me!) So I went through life just being "weird". It was not until I was 64 did I discover that I was Autistic. And it was only through chance that I got assessed. I almost missed it!
