You are a computer science student. That makes a lot of sense. Aspies breath computers.

You then went on to say You love emacs. The eMac (short for education Mac) is a discontinued all-in-one Mac desktop computer that was produced and designed by Apple Computer. It is a good computer. I have one in my home. It is now around 15 years old and works well. I use it every day.

Then you went on to say "elisp". I am not sure what you mean here.

Elisp has many meanings. For example: Do you mean an early language in play settings.
eLIPS is a resource for early years practitioners, teacher educators, parents, researchers and professionals with an interest in language development.

So according to the internet: GNU Emacs is an extensible, customizable, free/libre text editor.
At its core is an interpreter for Emacs Lisp, a dialect of the Lisp programming language with extensions to support text editing.

I am about 50 years older than you and I do not always stay up with the latest software. Then that explains the rest of your first thread. "Gentoo and common lisp" are part of the lisp structure.
