Anyone else like the new Vontage commercials?? The ones where they go "woo-hoo-wo-huhu" and say "people do some stupid things...like paying too much for long distance service"

That music is stuck in my head so much recently that I think it's becoming the soundtrack to my life

I'm sort of embarrassed to admit it, but yes. Yes I do.

I like the credit card commercial cause of the music. And I hate the tire commercials. The other commercials are to weird.

That delightful ditty is "Woo Hoo" by the Japanese band the 5 6 7 8s, who appear as themselves in the restaurant scene in Kill Bill and perform the song.

The ones with the snowmobile and the the guy chopping down the tree are the best, in my book.

I honestly think that the cellular phone companies are at the forefront of advertising savvy! You should see some of our Canadian "Telus mobility" commercials. They quite commonly utilize a group of miniature pigs or Chemelion lizzards. In one commercial it shows a chemelion playing "hide and seek". It's on a perch with a bunch of budgie birds with it's color changed to look like a budgie's colors and it's even sitting upright on a perch, trying to act like a budgie. I fell out of my chair the first time I saw it.

The Verizon commercials with James Earl Jones are catchy as well. In this day and age where almost all the media makes me sick, the telecommunications commercials are brilliant in my opinion!

No - it's the insurance companies who have the REEEEAL savvy. I like the Nationwide spot where the kid builds a robot for a science project and it starts blowing up things. There's also a classic with MC Hammer! Can't touch this: http://www.nationwide.com/advertising.htm

Geico's spots with the gecko are classics, but my favorite is the "Tiny House" reality show spoof.

Progressive, of course, has that techno-flavored "How Life Should Be" music and some great wit, especially in the motorcycle spots. http://www.progressivedirect.com/insider/commercials.asp

Their sibling company, Drive, has just made me prouder than ever to be one of their customers. Ryan Stiles, Wendie Malick, John O'Hurley and John Ratzenberger all play way-too-good-for-themselves stars in their newest roles: http://www1.driveinsurance.com/default.aspx?pagename=commercials

Enjoy the show, and be careful out there.
