Share your deepest thoughts in the subject of Society.
Politically I am one that would like to favour business and revolutionilize the education system. I have also a strong idea that today’s government isn’t atleast in the democratic society’s totally developed.
Religiously I feel that there can only be one truth to our history and future, and that is science. Charles Darwin and Richard Dawkings are the two I follow.
Philosophically I believe much in development. Please share all your ideas in this field as I am a complete beginner.
Let’s learn each other out and be respectful but share your believes with me.

My take on society is that everyone tries to be like everyone else. Society is a huge popularity contest and you're not popular unless you fit into a box....any box. I'm more popular than I was 12 years ago because people can easily put me into a box. A neat, little black red and yellow one. They couldn't do that when I was dressing like The Kinks. They didn't know if I was a boy or a girl, British or Canadian and which time I was living in. They couldn't put me into any box. People like boxes and since I've been true to myself, society's people have found a cute, little box for me. I can't stand society.

I’ve come to realise people are not only in a box but whole groups are.
I have no real label that people can put on me.
Society is a weird place and many humans are contributing to making it even more weird. I would love to be one of those that fit into a group someday.
Your thoughts about popularity contest and trying to be like everyone else, is that some kind of fear people feel of being abandoned, being an outsider?

I think the late, great philosopher Charles M. Schulz said it best on November 12, 1959 (in the fourth panel). . .

I really feel that we'd do best under a king or dictator, but preferably a king. Most people disagree with me on this and that's alright. We won't have either of those things in my lifetime. Still, I daydream about it. I wish there was one main guy in charge instead of all of this bureaucracy. If he was a bad king, we could behead him and get a new one.
I think society should be centered around helping each other, and making do for others' weaknesses. When you think about it, everyone relies on each other for a lot of things, even food and housing. Sayings like "Everyone is born alone and die alone" make no sense to me, because since birth everyone receives help and resources from their family, friends, and the government.
So we should try to give back to society in some way. Ideally our efforts and taxes we pay should be used to improve not only our but other people's lives too.
Yes i am overly optimistic and idealistic ![]()
Because of the current savagery exhibited by BOTH sides in the Gaza war Arabs AND Jews are now in the same boat here in the US of now being the objects of bigotry and hatred.
My pipe dream is that American Jews and American Muslim Arabs would join together with each other to stand against such bigotry.
And ...who knows ...if such cooperation were to work here then maybe the example would spread back to the land of the conflict itself and influence Jews and Arabs in Israel/Palestine itself to achieve peace. Or maybe like John Lennon ...I am just a dreamer.

Sounds like the plot synopsis of Don't Mess With the Zohan. Adam Sandler was unusually sympathetic towards Palestinians in a movie about a hairy spy that could catch live fish with his derriere.

On behalf of the entire population of WP I would like to ...thank you...for sharing that with us!
Politically I am a life-long democrat. I guess I can thank Ronald Reagan for making me so (I am old) When Reagan was president of the US he tried to abolish the minimum wage. His rationale was: if an employer is forced to pay an employee $6.00 an hour he could hire 3 employees at $2.00 an hour if there is no minimum wage. I remember thinking this dude is so out of touch. I guess he thought a person could live on $2.00 an hour. He (and Republicans) believe in the "trickle-down" theory of economics. If you allow the people at the top to make more money some of their crumbs might fall down to the working class.
Religiously (I am anti-religious) but I am tolerant of other's beliefs if the corner stone of their belief system is the golden rule. I am against the MAGA movement in the US for that reason; they think just because they think a thought is right; you should too. That is Taliban BS.
Philosophically I feel nobody controls their environment or sex. Just as I had no control over being born a male in the southern US you had no control over being born a female in Sweden. A person has no control whether they are born into a nurturing environment or not. We are all the same but we grew up having different influences that affect our thinking.
