I remember speaking to a colleague who works in my mum's book store and setting up some video on her phone of some toys and things for Christmas and telling her that my shop has been putting out Christmas stuff, diaries and calendars and reminding myself of what she said when I made a point of reasoning why we have to see all this stuff months before it happens and agreed with me and said "Just live in the moment".

I'm one of these people who doesn't like seeing time pass by really quickly. I suppose if you work in retail, you will see things on display months in advance. Also, this might be a bit of a diversion, but I can't stand always seeing ads on my phone or chrome for example, one was probably about being eligible for pensions if you were born between 1944 and 1974, I know this sounds ridiculous and yet I have reminded myself again and again that it's not targeting my age groups and stop looking at and worrying about it because it's silly and live in the here and now but it still doesn't go away the thoughts probably because I don't want to think about it and it feels hard for me to get on with life now when you have these things in your face. I even saw one the other day about life cover for those born before 1995/96.

It seems like you have a lot of anxiety about your life and about time passing and feeling like it's slipping you by, and that's why you have trouble focusing on the here and now instead of worrying about the future, but living in the present is good advice, and you yourself seem to know that. It's not easy to let go of anxiety but I think that's what you need to work on. It's not serving you well, and if you could relax more and stop worrying and just live your life as it is today that would do you a lot of good, I think.
