I can't cope with demands and they cause me so much pain. I can never seem to change that, have any of you made any progress with demands, even your own? If so, what did you do?

What's PDA? It doesn't sound like your talking about public displays of affection.

Oh OK. I didn't place the abbreviation. My girlfriend has this on top of other various stuff & she hasn't made much progress so I'm gonn follow this thread.

Unfortunately no, even leisure activities often send me in a procrastination/avoidance cycle. Like who the hell gets overwhelmed by the thought of playing video games?

not dx'ed formally but it seems to me in a stentorian voice. all my life.

I don't recall ever having a meltdown or panic attack as a kid because my mother wanted me to get ready to go somewhere fun, like the playground or the beach or something like that. I'd be more likely be in a mood because she would take me to such places because she was too busy or just didn't feel like it or whatever.

Of course, if I had to go somewhere I hated, like the dentist or the hospital, that was a whole different story.

I don't know about PDA but I have an avoidant personality, and it's led to me stagnating a lot in life - not getting a job, not making friends, not being able to have a girlfriend, etc. Even fun things like playing video games are things I only do once in a blue moon. Mostly I just sit around and make pointless lists or mindlessly copy files around on my computer. I hate it.
