Now that I'm in menopause, I have mix feelings, I love not having a period, but I hate menopause too, I get hot & cold

I had 2 weeks of hot flushes and I've not had a period since
I don't know what that means but I'm booking in for a smear test today and I'll ask the nurse

I'm very anxious and afraid of menopause. The thought of spending every night getting roasting hot and drenched in sweat is terrifying and gross. It sounds like when I was sick and I felt unnaturally hot and then I'd wake up drenched even tough I was wearing just a camisole and panties, and my body would be cold and clammy and I've have to get up and change. And the blanket and the mattress would be damp. If it's going to be like that for months or even years then I might as well be dead. World's going to hell anyway, what's the point of living to old age if your body and mind are going to fall apart?

Yeah the hot flashes are pretty intense to be fair

I mean I didn't have them for long and then my period has seemed to have stopped but you never know it might be some kind of false dawn

I'm going for my smear test on Wednesday so at least I can talk to someone about it

I wonder if a bit of light spotting counts as a period
