I sort of scared myself today when I was getting into the car at a supermarket. I was trying to get in and gave the guy in the truck next to me, the ''wait a minute'' finger twice. I don't know if we are ''smarter'' ''wired different'' because I was waiting for him to ''catch on'' and give me a ''thumbs up'' or a go right ahead look, I don't know if because he was older or people don't ''think''. I got a little ''loud'' telling my father in the car while the door was open, what is this guys problem and so on. I get paranoid or feel slighted easily as well, I don't know if it's because in my mind I felt disrespected so many times in 39 years, or we are just ''different'' and more systematic. I see everybody else was ''fine'' in the store, but I feel ''out of place'' or annoyed easily. I notice almost everyone else seems on ''auto pilot'' or a better analogy as I am a big sci fi fan, as if they are Terminator T800's that haven't had the chip switched.

Assuming mal-intent can be a problem for us. This can be amplified with frustration and uncertainty.

While you don't want to make assumptions, it can be prudent to be cautious. For example when entering a room with a stranger in it there is probably only a o.oo15% chance he will attack you. However, keeping a position near the door may still not be unwise. You wouldn't want to preemptively attack someone, it is more prudent to obtain more information so that you can make a better assessment.
