I just want to feel what others feel like, laughing, smiling, crying, having fun, but all I can do is thinking about whats wrong with me 24/7. It's very hard to move on in life without dumbing myself down.

Familiar to me too. I'm trying to some mindfulness exercises lately. It's pretty hard for me to be honest, but focussing on your breathing might quiet the mind for a little bit for a time. Just got back from my first massage in 20 years and I feel quite relaxed right now. Might not be a solution for everyone, but I'm happy I tried it.

Same. I shut down. Sometimes, something will happen or I will unprovokedly zone out or go down some mental downward spiral. I'm always wondering what I'm missing. What's the danger? What's the insult?
