WHAT ""services"" are they offering to provide ? And if you are of age then in order to do that, they may require your signature to make it legal . Hopefully you might see if they have a office you can discuss this with ? And how to get back control of your mom soc security, in the event , it does not work out.? Might be a age requirement .? involved.
And will it be a possible good opportunity for your idea of moving ahead in your life.

Rare possibility : that a Social security attorney maybe handy for advise?

You can change your representative payee simply by completing a written request at any local Social Security office. The request must be accompanied by a written letter or statement from the new payee agreeing to serve.

Social Security must approve a request to change a payee. The process to change your SSI payee typically takes about one month. Depending on when you begin the process, it can be accomplished before the next scheduled monthly benefit payment.
