I love her, she is my mom and I think she tried her best to raise me but she's so stupid sometimes.

LIke I was trying to explain to her some things of how the trump administration is ruining this country, and she like loosely agrees, but she thinks the anti-nazi signs directed at the government are too much, so I tried to explain to her how the current administration is kind of acting like nazis so that is why people say that. We drove by some people protesting in front of a tesla building which is what brought up the conversation. But yeah I was just trying to educate her about it a bit. Idk if she took any of it in but I was trying to explain to her why people feel that way.

But idk I love my mom, but also we've(me and my boyfriend) been staying with my sister and her husband in their basement and yeah we are all more left wing. But yeah the had a neighbor come over who seems like an over all good guy, but another one ignorant about how harmful trump is. and my sisters husband even said we shouldn't be fighting each other on right wing or left wing we should be banding together to take power back from the wealthy elite, cause yeah the neighbor seems more conservative than my sister, her husband and me and my boyfriend but also seems like a good guy and he's happy for my sister and her husband having a baby soon. But yeah seems he may lean a little more conservative than my sister, her husband and me and my boyfriend who will be aunt and uncle to the baby.

But yeah its a neighbor they have over sometimes, and yeah seems overall cool but a bit on the conservative side idk. This is a random post not even sure why I posted it.

I hope you pointed out to him he basically said we shouldn't be fighting each other on right wing or left wing we should be uniting around the left.

I mean for sure my sisters husband was leaning toward the more leftwing way, and idk things got heated for a minute, because that other guy that came to hang out from across the way was ok but a bit conservative, but I think my sisters husband has a good. well I think my sisters husband did that a bit...idkI think we all support socialism, not sure if that guy does.

Yeah, I can see trying to phrase things in ways that don't trigger people who've been conditioned to react negatively to certain buzzwords, it's just funny to hear others (or yourself) doing it, because you end up saying things that basically boil down in the sorta way I was teasing about.

You'll also sometimes encounter more ideological right-leaning folks who will point the same thing out, but do it as the basis for attacking your message, or at least to label your message as woke, communism, etc.

But yeah, engaging in counter-programming can be pretty tiring.

Yeah idk the guy expressed he doesn't like nazis and bla bla bla, but doesn't seem to realize trump and his suppoprters are doing exactly that. but seemed like a guy my sister and her husband just hear from from time to time and they are fine with that and I din't want to get in a big debate with the guy who was overall trying to be supportive, but even my sisters husband was trying to set him straight on some points and overall I think it went good and maybe us more left wingers gave that guy something to think about. Cause he seemed like an overall good dude but not so aware of all the f****d up s**t trump is doing, like he buys into thinking musk actually cutted fraud or whatever but I think my sisters husband helped set him straight on that..
