Good for Texas. Some of my fondest memories of school was reading books about controversial topics in the library.

The article makes reference to author Sherman Alexie, a Native American author whose book was in danger of being taken off the library shelves. Alexie is actually something of a celebrity here in my neck of the woods, eastern Washington as well as north Idaho, where he has lived his whole life.
