Hello all,

So, I recently moved to a beach town.

I was wondering if any of you gents out there have ever met any girls at the beach? And if so, did it lead to anything like dating, sex, etc?

I am not particularly shy so approaching / talking to someone is not an issue. My only worry is that I may be precived as weird, on account of the fact that I am not very good at initiating conversation with young women.

Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

CFL

Do you have a fit body and sick packs.

If not, then don’t even try.

If you do, then don’t even try either . They may talk to you.

I don't know about beach towns in Canada, but I grew up in one in Florida and one of the good things about living in a tourist town is that people won't think you're weird for approaching them. They'll think you're friendly and welcoming. Y'know, the whole "be nice to the tourists so they come back" type thing? We were taught it in school. I'd suggest you learn a bunch of cool local restaurants and various tips you can give people. In my experience I've found if you're talking to people with a purpose: being welcoming, giving them information, ect. it's very rarely considered weird.

Anyway, one thing to be leery of is that most of these women you meet are probably going to be tourists. They're just visiting. Which makes relationships more difficult. It's not a 1 to 1, but when I was a child I'd make new friends every summer...and then never see them again because they were tourists and only there for a week or two. I dunno if something like that would bother you or not, but the transient nature of a lot of people in beach towns is something to think about.

I wish you lots of luck and beautiful, sunny days

I'm not in the best shape, but I'm not going to let that deter me.

Then better to forget about hitting on.

Just socialize.

Do you have a four legged chick magnet?
Honestly...a happy dog is SO much more effective than a six pack (sick pack...lol)
Beachside sounds the perfect place to set up a dog walking service which would be the introductory equivalent of a boomerang in a budgie cloud.

I grew up on a beach town. Nothing says "hi! I'm a creep" more than striking up a conversation with a woman in a bikini. Almost all women who go to the beach really don't want to be disturbed by strange men. It's almost like trying to chat up women in a women's bathroom. Big no-no.

On the other hand, if there are cafes, a wharf with shops or even a beachside theme park, then that's a different matter. the fun recreational environment is conducive for a "hello we are having fun here" way of starting a conversation. Wish you the best of luck! happy fishing.

Or a baby alpaca.

It's a sick pack because well, you need to be really sick to reach a such low fat percent :P.

One of my cousins is a player type who moved into California hoping to get into acting. I heard his way of impressing women at the beach was runnimg up lots of debt buying a party boat & lots of beer

I will never go unto debt for any woman. If I have to dazzle her with gifts to get her, she is not the one for me.

I remember that I was on a beach camping. A giant camping with a beach or a lake. It is a long time ago, in Austria or Italy (in the latter case Lago di Garda).

I was a teenager, I was always interested in girls and later on in young women. But I never approach anyone of them. Then a group of girls approached me. I didn't know how to handle this. It went wrong. After that I avoid them at all costs (I was bullied since then), until it's time go home. I felt safe, because I won't see them ever back again.

How did your interaction with the girls on the beach go wrong?
