It is possible, some people thrive in solitude. Though, it does lead people to experience lonliness if it's not by choice.

There's plenty of people on the world, if given the right person and the right opportunity I'm sure you'll find someone you connect with if you desire it.

I can relate. I feel this way myself, often getting along with cats better than people. I spend a lot of time in solitude. There's a Chinese saying that I quite like, which often cheers me up:

Better the cottage where one is merry,
than the palace where one weeps

Of course. You don't have to do anything or live like everyone else. Do your thing.

I love to be alone. People often ask what I am doing all day long. Well .. I was never bored. I am alone and bored when I am with other people. I want to listen to my music and I want to watch my movies and I want to read my books and occupy myself with my interests. So yeah .. I love to be alone.
