Today, did nothing except the internet, library, laundry, eating and sleeping

Did not talk to anyone. Nobody talked to me

Sometimes it seemed like an entire year would pass, without a single face to face heartfelt conversation with anyone.
Except exchanging a holiday greeting with a cashier on the rare occassion . Or the meat counter person at the local store . Almost never had that experience at a walmart. All the other relatives and extended family members.
Even Late partners (Husband) side had all gone before . Even High school friends had passed on . Last best friend lives 400 miles away, and does not get a chance to text or call between caring for her ailing husband and running a small farm. So things can be pretty quiet . But not thinking I am that old. Seems often , many people I have met seemed to think . that I am a easy target . That I tried to get to know. Maybe its the times? , and people are having their own issues, just trying to get by?
Actually starting reading books again ...

I feel like I'm not a true misanthrope because now matter how bad humans are, they're still people with thoughts and feelings and human rights and stuff. Which is really aggravating.

Yes, recognizing nuance can be pretty frustrating, but it's also a sign of intelligence. Not to mention how much worse the world would be if everyone suddenly lost all sense of sonder and empathy.

Humans aren't even so bad compared to chimps and bottlenose dolphins. It's just a lot of our harms are at bigger scales than those of other animals.

sounds like a perfect day to me :)

I think if we didn't get the idea from the media and other people, that being alone is a bad thing, we wouldn't even consider it as bad 8)

with semantics and pragmatics, somehow i manage to twist/distort almost everything anyone ever says, into a personal insult. regardless of intention, awareness, context, or social norms.

for example, "does that make sense?" sounds manipulative to me because "logic could be used to justify anything." the speaker is challenging the recipient to phrase, in words, in real time, how and why the statement does not "make sense." just b/c my vocabulary is too small to explain how and why a statement does not make sense, does not "prove" that the statement is factually correct. for example, if i looked @ organic chemistry, i would not know how to articulate/phrase what does not make sense about it, but that does not "prove" that it "makes sense". furthermore, not everything makes sense. just because something "makes sense", doesn't "prove" that it is factually correct.

almost everyone i have ever interacted with talks way too loud, way too much, way too enthusiastically. "paucity of content"

To be fair, ideas don't need to be correct to 'make sense'; they only require sound internal logic. An idea can be batshit insane and still make sense, so long as there's some sort of coherent internal logic.
