No, but I used to be frightened around balloons when I was a child. But my grandmother was as well, and she was NT.

I'm not so bothered about balloons popping now, although I guess it can be annoying.

As a kid I really loved balloons, but when they popped it could be very upsetting. Although I did sometimes popped them on purpose.

Some people have a phobia of balloons. Apparently even a picture of balloons will make them terrified. We should have trigger warnings for people who have a phobia of balloons, especially if they pop. Balloon Fight for the NES should have a trigger warning. Why not? There are trigger warnings for virtually everything else.

I remember when I was a kid I was at a birthday party and would cry and fuss whenever a child touched a balloon because I thought they were going to pop it. I clung hard to my dad's leg and cried and screamed, and I wouldn't join in the party games until the balloons were out of reach of the children. Then I relaxed when the parents hung all balloons up high on the wall, and I joined in the party games.

As a child I had a phobia of anything that made sudden loud noises; balloons, dogs, fireworks, school bells. But I wasn't bothered by things that made continuous loud noise, such as chaotic environments (parties, carnivals, musical instruments, etc). It's always been my nerves, I've always been very easily startled and it's like sudden loud noises can physically hurt my nerves.

My main memory of balloons is of scout cub camp when a lad burst a water filled balloon on my head.

I had a fear of popping balloons as a child. There was a blow up the balloon tally and a pop the balloon tally. I plugged my ears every time someone popped the balloon.

No.

And I tend to be the one who pops them.

I haven't been around balloons popping enough for it to be an issue. But any loud noise unexpected noise is irritating.

It depends on what I'm doing at the time and whether or not there's any warning. And if I'm the one who pops the balloon I don't mind at all.

I love loud bangs, they are scary and exiting at the same time. Pure adrenaline rush.

These answers are pretty relatable.

I can generally tolerate loud bangs. I like them in some contexts, especially if I have control over them like guns, fireworks I'm setting off or cracks and pops from my car. I also enjoy them when they're part of something I've chosen to engage in, like watching motorsports, combat footage, etc.

I like them less when I don't control them, but I'll still take endless bangs over shitbeasts barking.
