I feel uneasy and anxious many times. Is it an illness or something arisen later in life? I dont remember anything big happened that would cause this. But i have this since childhood, sometimes it gets better or worse. Medications help me when i use them (stops over thinking and relieves me) but i don't wanna take meds forever. Without drugs, my brain is constantly analyzing stuff and i rarely get relaxed despite i try hard to not feel anything. I feel my forehead, facial muscles are tense when i get anxious. What should I do

I think anxiety is common for those of us on the spectrum due to our various social issues, misunderstandings, & bad experiences. I've dealt with bade anxiety till I found a good combo of psych meds & I've been on those meds for close to 15 years. Some anxiety meds are meant to be taken regularly long-term instead of on an as needed basis. The meds help me feel better mentally & be more stable within my relationships & other life stuff since I'm not freaking out. I'm guessing you don't wanna stay on meds long-term due to concern about potential side-effects & if so it's up to you to decide if the possible side-effects are worse than being anxious on a daily basis & dealing with the potential unstable relationships & health issues related to stress. I care a lot more about the quality of my life than the quantity but this choice is up to you to decide.
