I've asked and asked Disney + to help with this problem, but programs we watch on that streaming service continue to freeze during commercials. And always, the technical support agent suggests we upgrade and pay more money as a solution. Personally, I believe Disney+ is purposely causing this problem in order to force customers to pay higher rates for an upgrade. If anyone can offer a better explanation and help my family and I to resolve this issue, then I'd be more than happy to read your response. Otherwise, I have to think this is yet another example of how big business is responsible for our lack of trust in capitalism.

I've had a similar issue in the past a few times. For me the problem was usually fixed by doing a complete disconnect and reconnect of my internet modem and router in the house. This involves completely disconnecting both from the internet cable and their power source for a minute, then reconnecting the main modem and giving it time to completely power up and reinitialize its programming. Once the modem is fully powered and rebooted, about 5 minutes, I power up and reconnect the wifi router. The one time this didn't solve the problem the internet provider had to replace an outdated modem with a new one.

Thank you. My wife had tried that before, and while I wish I could say it worked, it didn't. But nothing from keeping us from trying it again, I suppose.

Could be but apparently they earn more on the adds in the lower subscriptions. (netflix situation) So difference in price will increase and upgrading will likely be only temporary solution. On the other hand, it also means the ad people are more the 'valued customer' for your subscription, if they complain their ads come in slow they will be listened to.
