You make a good point-one can only post another separate comment, and/or updating with new info. by quoting a previous comment.
Actually, I wonder whether the (rarely used) whole stats section could be subsumed as a sticky under WP.net discussion section ? That's what I thought this thread title was referring to (before reading initial post). Being able to find statistics & demographics is interesting, but they're usually out-of-date, not current.
