Should you just have kids even if you don't want to?

I've seen or read of men who become fathers and regret it or struggle with the situation. I find myself being hard on myself for still being single and not having a child because a part of my brain is telling me to "do it" regardless of whether I want to or not because it feels like everyone else is doing regardless of wanting or not wanting as though it's just biology dictating us like it dictates other animals. But I'm not even in a relationship.

People have told me that once you become a parent you can't undo it. And I seem to visualise a child hating me because I didn't really want them or wasn't always there. I noticed it with my sister's partner where she was left to parent her son while he was still going out as though he was still a free and single man. I've heard people who have said that having kids is the "best thing you can do". I feel like I "should be ready" but feel the same as I did at 30 or 25 and again I was still single. I seem to feel like a biology is telling us to just have sex and have babies anyway even if we are just 17 or 18 and not even thinking about it or marriage, financial stability etc.

Please don't have unprotected sex just for the hell of it. The last thing our world needs is more unwanted children.

Probably Not . And if you did, Would hope the child was wanted by both parents. And they had taken alittle time to ""prepare"" for it . And hope for the best child . But Loved him/her no matter what, even if its a tough Love.

Do you plan to break the cycle that's been perpetuated by such thought and actions that many had committed?
If the answer is no, don't.

Humans are more than just their damn bodies and what's it's telling them.

Of course, not.

If you don't want kids you won't be a good parent. My sister had a kid but her and her husband specifically wanted to have a kid so I am happy for them....I however do not want a kid, I am happy with the idea of being an aunt...and maybe I wasn't at first but my nephew is very cute and last time I visited I somehow ended up with him in my lap feeding him a bottle....and now I for sure want to play/build lego with him when he's old enough for that.

But I'd make an awful parent so I cannot give him a cousin.

Same here, I'd be a stressed out wreck as a parent so I'm just happy to have my sisters two boys to keep in contact with.

Considering I've almost certainly missed that boat, my answer would be... Perhaps.

My daughter is never having children and there's a part of me that is devastated about it

It's like a pride thing. Bloodline and all that but I suppose but I'm just a peasant anyway so it won't really matter in the grand scheme of it all

No. In fact there are a lot of humans who should never have kids even if they do want to.

Most adults are selfish and never think what kind of a life their unborn child is going to have, especially in a dumpster fire of a world we're living in right now. :x
