I thought I had finally found a “tribe” to join at the lounge in my area that was set up to cater to the gothic subculture but I was only met with disappointment once again. I just can’t find a “tribe” no matter what I do.

Meet Up groups and other avenues I‘ve given chances at haven’t been successful for me either.

Sorry to hear you were unsuccessful.

How did you go about trying to join in at this goth lounge? Perhaps we might be able to brainstorm some better ways?

I would attend as much as I could and would spend a lot of money buying drinks (Mostly non-alcoholic) while also wearing the rivethead or cyber-goth clothes I bought before they ended up tearing in the most spots possible. I would try talking to people and even wore the color bracelets that were offered for their attempts to have “single’s nights”, which fared poorly. Unfortunately, my executive function would get taxed easily and the conversations were fleeting.

I suppose we can try brainstorming but I’ve almost have given up by this point. My family’s actions have really damaged me and I’ve fallen very far behind. I just wish something happy would happen for me until I die so my life won’t be in vain.
