Who could hate a hobbit? They'reCUTE! watch "Lord of the Rings"!

And just in case you don't like LOTR or have never heard of it...a hobbit is similar to a human except they are short (around 3 foot something)and they have large, hairy feet. There was a rumor somewhere that Hobbits (Thier original name is "Halflings")were a cross between humans and rabbit demons.I don't know if that's true,J.R.R. Tokien never said anythying like that...

I have no problem with hobbits. What do you mean there are people who hate hobbits? The only people I've heard of who hate hobbits are Gollum and several snobbish literary critics.

Hobbitses are cool. ;) They are a literary creation of Tolkien and live in the Shire in the western part of Middle-earth. They are between 2 and 4 feet tall, with about 3.5 feet being average. They don't wear shoes and have hair on their feet. They dress in bright, earthly tones, usually green and yellow. They love the simple life: gardening and eating 6 meals a day if they can. And they don't meddle in the affairs of others too often.

This would be a combination of the books and movies, as well as some of my own knowledge. The hobbits (Bilbo in There and Back Again: A Hobbit's Tale and Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin in The Lord of the Rings) are some of the chief characters of Tolkien's more well-known works about Middle-earth, excluding the Silmarillion and all the histories of Middle-earth.

Kind of hypocritical, because Gollum was a hobbit, or he used to be. ;)

Wish I could be one, too, but I have my mind focused on being a Half-Human (or a Half-Elf, whichever you prefer). ;)

I rather enjoyed reading The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and I quite thoroughly liked watching the Lord of the Rings movies, too.
