Are there any IP #s for my account that are different from my usual one? I'm jsut curious because someone went into my profile and 1) filled in the personal website slot with a link to an adult site, 2) changed my "Have Asperger's--Diagnosed" status to "other autism spectrum disorder", and 3) changed my gender to male. I think it was someone from the WP community, judging from #2. Thanks so much for checking for me! :)

Sorry to bother you again.

I did.

I hope he's the only one that can cover his tracks... I hope other mods can't, because chances are it WAS an inside job, if it was someone from the WP community. He should be able to see who it was tho, seeing as how it happened today and some mods probably weren't here today.

I feel like people won't take me seriously this time. I promise this is serious; I'm not attention whoring and I've never done THIS for attention!

Hope not, I am taking it seriously. However, Alex, and perhaps MrMark, are the only two who can help you on that score. Mods can look at IPs, but only admins can really look at login details, I think.

I was thinking of someone with supernatural powers.

Ana54, it seems you still have control of your account, it would be a good idea to change your password.

Deleted the address. Sorry. :)

How the HELL could they have guessed my password?

If they have one of those password-generator programs changing my pass won't do any good anyway.

did you see some of that link? :P

It could be a malware, a keylogger perhaps, not sure really.
But, does this happen on this site only?

It's never happened to me before. :)

I've been on hundreds of webboards, and I've frequented about 10.

Dammit, I've just GOT to stop it
with those mind altering drugs.
I have no memory of the last
few days.

If your password is currently some word with a couple numbers added to it, it could help to change it to something more random.

A pain to keep track of...but that's what text files are for. If someone is using your computer without your permission, you've got bigger concerns than the discovery of your password for this site. If it is a public terminal....write it down somewhere I guess?

Yeah, you really need a secure password,
if you're being targeted. The best ones
tend to be formulaic, so that you (and
only you) can derive them from some
bits of information that you have EVEN
if you forget it.

There is one possibility that I mentioned before there is a vulnerability to do with phpBB if alex has not got the patch. It would be more a case of being able to change things across the whole forum.

Maybe they are just going for subtle things. Thought it is strange it is only happening to Ana. It think that fact that Ana lives in the YMCA and might use a group computer might be the issue. You should also have the computer checked for key logging software.

I can test to see if vulnerability is there I just need permission.

My pass is a really long, random sentance... it makes sense but no one would be able to guess ity. No one at the Y would be able to log in as me because I type extremely fast, and they would not have been able to see what I was typing as I typedin my very random, long-sentence password. :) I always close the window after I leave, maybe I forgot to log out a few times... the IP addresses should tell them that.

PS: I'm posting this from the library; that's why I have a different IP suddenly.
