gave you the wrong impression of what it meant when someone else told you? What was your translation?

Someone once asked after we broke up if we could be "special friends" I thought he meant best friends but I told him to call back in months when we are over each other. He then explained what "special friends" do. So had to decline his special offer.

Once apon a time, I thought bondage meant when two people perform the act of bonding. Holding hands, getting along, hugging, sharing hobbies and family photos. Boy i was way off.

Someone claimed they were fired? That poor person was set on fire.

When I was a kid I thought that a serial killer was someone who killed cereal because I'd never seen it in writing.

I still don't understand the first one; what does special friends mean?

At school teachers were always commenting on how I should 'come out of my shell'.

I couldn't understand this because I've never been in a shell.

When I was young I used to think sideburns were called sideboards (a piece of furniture in the UK).

Because no one corrected me I carried on calling them sideboards right into my late teens.

There was a dating term called "cock blocking". I had to have it explained to me, I thought it had to do with roosters or something.

Why do we park in a driveway and drive in a parkway?

Is the freeway really free?

Does a tollbridge exact a heavy weight?

Are microwaves really small?

Is a maxi-pad the largest there is?

Is Maximum the biggest mum?

Does disposable mean it can't pose anymore?

does recycle mean to peddle faster or do it again in the same fashion?

Why is the orange color called orange but red or green is not called apple?

More human than human - White Zombie!

Abort, retry or fail - is that the only options?

A more illuminating equivalent would be "f**k buddy."

It's also sometimes referred to as "friends with benefits"...another one that could be confusing if you've never heard it.

When I did graphic design we has a subject called "creativity"
Needless to say I interpreted any subject matter as an Aspie would - the lecture thought I was some kind of genius and used to praise me for my original thoughts. I didnt have the heart to tell him I suspected I was ret*d
As a child I kept a dictionary where I would log words ie
Tea - a drink with Jam and bread
Tee - after playing golf the clubhouse serves tea
Tea + Tee = my thoughts exactly
s_u= t
T is a cross that can be a religious symbol
T looks the same way up and dowm and sideways and a mirror if you move the crossbar to 180 degrees
T cannot be represented on a lcd calculator
T requires two strokes
The sound is "ti"
When I stand with my arms extended I can look like the letter t
It went on forever.....................

What heck is a “Free Gift”??? Are there gifts that cost money?

Who needs a “Hot Water Heater”??? If you have hot water why do you need to heat it?

When someone says they believe the golden rule…”Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”…and they are “doing unto you” mean things do they want you to be mean to them?
