I am curious to know peoples' bedtime routines.

I myself switch off my pc, laptop, light and heater and check every switch is off. I then put on the heater in my bedroom, turn on my sidelight and make my bed which involves folding in half 4 duvets and putting them one on top of the other on my inflatable mattress then putting pillows on.

I then wash up anything that needs washing up, get a glass of rubicon to put on bedside table, grab a few books in case I want to read, get undressed, get into a nightdress then switch off the main room light and go into bathroom, take contact lenses out, wash face, pee, get my earplugs and wedge my curtain in the bathroom door to keep as much light out as possible. I then main light off, get into bed and set my alarm on my phone and read a while before turning side light off to sleep.

Your so organized compared to me. I take off my pants, fall into the bed and turn off the light. I usually check WP before i go to sleep too. I sleep with just boxers and a tshirt so theres not much prep. :D

Feed the cats, brush my teeth, turn the light out then undress in the dark. Five minutes later I'm under the quilt with one cat by my feet and the other by my backside.

Shut off computer, brush teeth, have bath, dry off, put on housecoat, put away any dirty laundry, close door, turn off lights, crawl into bed.

I sleep with my clothes on too.

I just can't be bothered with pajamas.

I don't really have a procedure. Get off computer, make sure phone is plugged (my alarm clock), go to bed.

I try to remember to brush my teeth, I tend to forget though. I just brush harder when I wake up.

I switch off computer, switch on bedside light and the TV beside my bed. I then go through the house from my bedroom and see whats on satelite tv in the living room. I find a good channel and leave sky on, but turn that TV onto standby, by doing this I can watch that particular channel on my bedroom TV. I then make sure all the lights are off and the doors are locked. Strip down to boxer shorts and jump into bed. Its usuall the news channels I watch before falling asleep.

I guess Im a bit of a mink, I dont brush my teeth or anything.

ever since ive moved into my new house i sleep with the light on. in my old house i used to sleep with the tv on but i dont have a tv in my room. so my niteime routine usually goes something like this:

stay on the internet till about 11am check out scores online
get a glass of water and place it on the side of my bed
make shure my fan is on
take a piss
take off my pants
leave my shirt on
get into bed and lay there and think about what i did that day. sometimes i pick up my meteorite and look at it

11pm
turn off all remaining lights in the house
go to room
lay on bed
turn on music, put on all track repeat
listen and look at the clock till i fall asleep

very simple, i usually just sleep in my jeans or if they bother me, i wear my shorts that i have under my pants (my pants are too big, but i love them ) and my shirt, change in the morning if i feel like it

Work nights...
Off work at 11:30 pm, usually stay at work until 2, 3, or 4 in the morning.
When I get home I now have to check on the kitties in the bathroom.
Feed/water/clean litter box.
Brush teeth
Read or Get on WP
When I'm tired enough, I go to the futon/couch I sleep on in the living room.
Turn on the lamp, plug in my iPod and turn it on.
Go take off my scrubs, socks, put on my nightshirt and head for bed.
I only have a blanket under me, a comforter on top, my body pillow, my head pillow.
Listen to my music until I'm too tired and shut it all off (I unplug stuff that has glowing lights on it), or fall asleep and wake up later to shut it off.
Oh, I go potty before bed and definitely sometime during sleep hours (in the bathroom... not in my bed :P ).

Non-work nights when I'm alone...
I'll do the kitty stuff, my stuff (teeth, potty), go to bed and read or computer until I get tired and go to sleep.

Non-work nights when my daughter is home...
Get her moving to get ready for bed, do the kitty stuff.
After my daughter gets ready for bed, we give each other a goodnight hug and say, "Goodnight, sweetdreams, see you in the morning! Love you!).
She goes to her room, reads before falling asleep, I make my way to bed/book/computer until 1 or so in the morning and fall asleep.

Roll cigarette, pick up washbag, leave washbag in bathroom, go for cigarette outside, come back indoors and brush teeth, etc, go back to room with washbag, set alarm clock, throw shirt and socks onto "to wash" pile, throw trousers onto floor somewhere, change into tomorrow's boxer shorts (chuck old pair in wash pile), check emails, select a calm track in iTunes and put it on repeat, turn speakers down to barely audible volume, turn off monitor, turn off bedroom light, get into bed, hide head under covers so that the air becomes thin and warm and I doze off/pass out. Yep, I suffocate myself to sleep.

1. Scrub my big toenails with Listerine, then swab them with tea tree oil.
2. Disassemble, swab and put away my flute.
3. Disconnect internet connection and turn off wireless network.
4. Turn off lights, go upstairs.
5. Brush my teeth. Then floss, brush again, and finish by rinsing with Act flouride rinse.
6. Go to my bedroom.
7. Take off sandals.
8. Make sure I'm wearing clothes that I want to sleep in.
9. Put in earplugs.
10. Set my alarm (if I need to) and place it on my bed, right next to where my head will be.
11. Turn out light.
12. Get under fleece blanket.
13. Decide if I want my feet sticking out from under the fleece blanket or not.
14. Fall asleep (much easier to do now that I no longer hang out in my bedroom).
