Autistic Londoners offered access to employment
Prospects Employment Consultancy, an expert in employment and autistic spectrum disorders, will offer a course called 'Access to employment for people with autism and Asperger syndrome', which will allow people to explore employment and further education options.The course is funded through a Department of Health grant, which means it is free to participants and travel costs incurred are reimbursed.Running for ten weeks, the course will involve a series of workshops taking place two half-days a week.The world of work and potential issues that could affect participants will be explored.Disability awareness and building independence, social and communication skills and confidence will be covered as well as learning about personal health and how to manage emotions and cope with difficulties. view article
