October 2nd, and it's my birthday today, yay! My best girlfriend is taking me to a two day stay at a spa in La Jolla, near San Diego, here in California. It's kind of a surprise, but when she asked me to take two days off work, I knew she was up to something. I told her I would rather have the cash :lol: , but she said it doesn't work like that, and just enjoy it. The place is called "The Golden Door". Sounds like a portal into another realm... Should be fun!

Well, I have to leave in an hour. I didn't know what to pack, you know, what to wear for two days, because I think this is a fancy place and we're probably going to go out to lunches and dinner and stuff, but California is so laid back, so to avoid any stress and to make it easier, I just went on line and looked at what David Beckham and Brad Pitt have been wearing these days when they're being casual, and I'm just gonna copy that. Ha! :lol:

I love La Jolla! It means "the necklace" and it is where my daughter was born. Try to make it to the seaside area which I believe is now a state park. If you see the Casa Manyana. . say hello for me. On that spot was my tiny bungalow I lived in with my daughter for a couple precious months.

Of course, that was a lifetime ago, I have visted since and it has turned into a Disneyland for wannabe rich people. You can get some glam knockoffs there to 'fit in'. Go to the old arcade shops and get some Brad Pitt sunglasses!
