Well, since our Groarers seem to be out of the office at the moment, I'll take this opportunity to sneak in an introduction.

I'm Grey. I lurked here for a few weeks, and I've been a member for a week or two now.

I'm, let's see, 36. (I always have to think about that.) Male. Live in California.

I like science ficiton, anime, hard-boiled mysteries, reading.

I dislike introductions or talking about myself.

I tend to write long-winded posts.

I'm self-diagnosed with AS. I started looking into and researching AS a couple of years ago when I read an article on it and realized that it described me perfectly. I got interested in it again recently when my AS tendencies were making me very unhappy.

At the moment, things are going pretty well for me. My NT friends are, despite my best efforts over the past few months, still my friends. I'm coming out of a shutdown period and things are really looking up.

So why am I a Butterfly? I used to be an emu egg. Something to do with number of posts?

I am not an animal! I am a human being!

Welcome.

Yes, the titles are based on the number of posts. One goes though various titles until 500 post at which time one is simply a vetern. At 1000 posts one gets to select a...unique....title for ones self.

I'm things on getting better for you. I hope you enjoy the board and find some helpful tips on it as well.

Yes, the animal thing has to do with the number of posts, until you reach 500. Then you become a "Veteran". When you have 1000 posts, you can choose a title, like vetivert, Sophist, Ghosthunter and a few others have.

Welcome, Grey. It's good to have you here and I hope you feel welcome.

I was a tufted titmouse for awhile and had a hard time dealing with it. I'm glad to see you here. I hope you like it!

This just might be the first introduction thread to ever get moved to the mature forum.

woo hoo, just here a couple of weeks, and I'm already breaking new ground.

I agree that there's nothing wrong with, um, female secondary sexual characteristics, but as as a straight guy, I prefer them on females.

Oh, and when I referred to a "groarer" I was talking about, um, Blackliger I think, who gives a welcoming Groar to all of the newcomers who post. Somebody else was taking over that "function" while he was gone, but that someone has also left the building. Nobody else seems to be doing it, so I felt safe to post.

Grey

Groar free since July 2005.
