I started today at a small bookstore in Portland - I was hired after filling out an application and after a meeting with several supervisors I will have.

All my Aspie obsessions in one - books, movies, and political activism !

I'll just have to make the effort to get along with my supervisors-at least 6 of them!

The kicker is that two students who go to the same school as me also work there, and I do not want them to know I work there!

This is great!

Congradulations! Try cultivating a good relationship with just one of those supervisors. It will help to have someone in your corner if problems arise later,

Why don't you want other people from your school to know you work there? I don't think you're going to get around them finding out. You should prepare for the day when they do find out. Do you need to prepare?

I never kiss up to my supervisor, but I also refrain from any battles. I'm pretty much a blank slate. It works out OK. He likes to think he is winning me over with his ideas and control freak tendencies when I really think he is an incompetent egotistical idiot.

I will try.
Some of them go outside & smoke and I can smell the carbon monoxide from where I am taking sales, which induces coughing fits. It is a bit embarrasing when one is taking sales and trying not to cough on the merchandise.

Because there have been some hostilities between me & said people from school.
It is true that I'm not going to get around them finding out because the next meeting is scheduled for October 21st. In the event they do show up, I might sit on the side or with my back to them because everyone there shows up late for meetings.

An idea is to sign up for shifts that are not the day before or the day after said people are on shift.

UPDATE: October 22nd, 2007

Yesterday was the meeting at the store.
I was hoping neither of them would show up, but one did before I even got there in the first place.
Both employees are none other than two punk chicks who are stalking me at school.
They are very cool with it and want me to be part of their entourage as the token dude.

What's an Aspie guy to do?
