Mod ID's

Is there any reason why the moderators here don't 'wear' moderator ID's in there mini profiles under their avatars? I've only seen one with a marker (Mr Mark) It makes it appear this board isn't monitored at all, I'm sure that isn't true (I read today though the Ana54 bashing post went on for 48 hours before found, eek.) This is a busy board, I'm not complaining or being rude only giving an example. That bashing might have ended sooner if moderators were easier to find to report it to.

who have them, who AREN'T mods.

For some discussion. Some don't want to be
known. AFAIK, those who are actively moderating
anymore are limited to Quatermass, MrMark, and
Krex. No one else seems to step beyond killing
pure ugly spam or porn. These can be reported

Yes, I read that thread. That is fair enough, but what about bringing on a few moderators who don't mind wearing the legitimate mod ID badge? This is a busy board, few more cooks in the kitchen couldn't hurt, could they?

Before anyone jumps to conclusions I am in no way volunteering, those are not my intentions of bringing this up. I'm a worrier & problem solver by nature. I can't help myself.

The danger is twofold, as I see it.

First, any moderators have to be
able to work together and respect
one another. THIS fact has caused
the team to dwindle so small.

Second, the more that there are, the
greater capacity for harm that they have.
I've not seen the site going to hell in a
handbasket, with the small number that
we have currently. Indeed, if anything,
the overmoderation issues seem to
have subsided completely - at least
for now.

Would you rather I start finding
things to grouse about?
