What were your first words?

Mine was "s**t." Or at least I almost said it, and that was my first English word... my first word might have actually been "sassas"... I said that whenever I saw a flower or a star.

My first two words were "ball" and "ish" (fish), which I learned at a dolphin show. XD

Then I didn't really talk again for three years.

After that stage of utter silence, the first thing out of my mouth was "metamorphosis".

My father swears my first word was "duck". My mother swears it was not, and she doesn't remember what it actually was. Neither of them can remember when I started walking, talking, ect, beyond the fact that it wasn't ridiculously early or late.

According to my Dad it was the word pizza.
According to my mom it was the phrase "because i don't have to" when she was asking me at age 3 why im not talking.

"im busy"

My first word was "ish" too.

my first word was 'nein'.

'Grandma,' at a "normal" time too.

"Mama," "Papa," and "cat."

Strangely enough, the word, "light."

My parents don't remember my first words. Or the first words of their other kids. Some parents I have...

you know? I doubt there is really is such a thing as a first word. There's only the first word or phrase a kid utters that an adult (or someone) understands as a real word or phrase.
