When you talk about Sliders, describing me as a fan is a euphemism.
This is my all-time favorite show - if you limit it to the first two seasons and some episodes of the third season. However, the fourth season is really a low quality one compared to the others. I have never had the chance to see the fifth season but it seems to be better than the fourth.

Hey sparkplugloy
I agree about the first two seasons you really can't fault it up to that point, The third season seemed to follow a 'monster' movie of the week pattern ripping off from Tremors, Dragon Heart, Species, among others, of course killing off Arturo Prof [my favourite character at that point] didn't do the show any favours.

I agree.
When their budget increased, they used too much special effects and suddently the quality of the show dropped. Another proof that this is not what makes a good show.
Everytime I watch The Lord of the Rings, when I see Gimli, it reminds me of Sliders.

Due to the relationships between the characters (teacher-student) Pr. Arturo was needed on the show. He was my favorite character, although I am more like Quinn myself.
As much as I enjoy things related to the army, I did not like the character of Maggie (well, at times, she was nice, but overall, I would rather have kept the original characters). And the whole story about Quinn not being from our Earth and having a brother on another planet was stupid in my opinion.

I saw some of it and liked it. My favorites when Arturo thought he was a detective. He died? He was my favorite. Guess thats why he wasn't around in the vampire thing. There was another girl I didn't like.

For all the behind the scenes info on Sliders, Such as why John Rhys-Davis [Arturo] Sabrina Lloyd [Wade] & Jerry O'Connell [Quinn] left the show, Why it was canceled etc. I recommend this website It brings you up to speed on everything.

I really liked watching Sliders, my two favourite episodes were the one where if you win the lottery you die and the episode set at christmas with the giant shopping mall floating in mid air.

A lot of famous stars have appeared on Sliders over the years, I remember seeing an episode with Connor Trinneer (later went on to play Trip Tucker in Star Trek: Enterprise) played the leader of a rebel freedom fighter group.
