I used to, back when the comics were funny... For the last 3 or 4 months I've only found the odd one to be humorous, the last two haven't even looked like comics to me. In my opinion, he's lost his edge.

Yeah, back when it was more consistently funny. These days, it's hit and miss. Maybe their writers went on strike.

Back in April there was one on floor tiles that set off at least three threads and numerous posts dealing with
patterns, I dug these out of my "scrapbook":

Quote:
YMBAAI You read Orwell's list above and see:
"27. You pay attention to patterns you see in the different-colored floor tiles in a grocery store." -And you get a sudden feeling of deja-vu:

I sort of got a double dose of the pattern thing, what with also being left handed. Generally, left handed people process images differantly and notice patterns others don't. Couple this with aspergers and.. ugh!

I tend to see patterns and pictures in just about anything, that is why similarities tend to stand out more
than differences.
Recently on two other threads patterns and tilings came up for discussion:

Floor Tilings.
YMBAAI You post 12 (count 'em) links that deal with tiling!! !!

I love weird patterns...that is also why i like quilts so much....unfortunately i lack the attention span to make really elaborate patterns....I only make bizarre absrtact crazy quilts....but i get mesmerised by staring at the complex patterned ones...

um....oh yeah..and I painted my kitchen ceiling tiles in this nutzo pattern...pink black yellow black blue black pink black yellow black blue black..

and whenever my notebooks were confiscated I would zone out on the ceiling tiles in class...

If you have time on your hands, get some colored pencils and graph paper, and try these out:

Ah! But richie, you haven't listed "Penrose tiling"! (At the bottom of which, there's a picture of a Penrose tiled real floor!)

"37. You add an extra item to your list just to get to a prime number."
37 is the fifth prime in the minor qudratic prime series: n^2+n+17

# 17 Image
Significant number if you like to look at wallpaper
