My favorite funny noise is when you hit something with an empty plastic bottle against a solid surface, lol
I think it's funny as all get out.

My favorite noise, in recent memory, occurs when you try to skip an ultra thin rock by letting it curve through the air and practically flip over before it hits the water. It makes a random whoosh/flopping noise before jetting away in a completely random direction. Takes some practice, but its worth it.

My daughter loves this sound, too. When she was a toddler she would just suddenly whack one of us with an empty bottle when we weren't paying attention and she would imitate the sound and laugh. I made the mistake of falling asleep in my chair once........ thump!

If you are into MIDI you can sample different pitches and timbres and compose a plastic bottle concerto.

I sampled thing like bottles and staplers for a song once. But the project was rushed and I didn't have to use half the effects and it ended up sucking

lol! i do it pretty frequently against my head (the soft cylindrical bit of course), and yes, 'thoonk!' is the closest word to describe the sound. it doesn't hurt (unless you miss and whack yourself with the base....) and makes me laugh.

bf doesn't find it amusing that i like to whack stuff against my head though....

I like the noise that comes out when you scratch a hologram with your fingernail. It sounds like one of those DJ mixes you get in discos.

I LOVE that 'thoonk!' noise! Everyone flinches when I do it to me, although they should know that only the base hurts. I also like the noise my Russian Nesting Dolls make when I shake them!

The sound of a thick book slamming closed: Buhh!

I remember when watching Art Attack as a kid (and an adult, if I'm honest) I loved the sound of scissors cutting through card, when heard through a microphone: Skrrr skrrr...
