Now please, is someone going to answer my question: how do I do a lube change on a '57 Chevy?

1. find the sump nut.
2. undo it.
3. remember you have forgotten to place a receptacle under it, and so are now covered in sump oil, and probably polluting the drainage system with same.
4. swear a lot.
5. swear a bit more.
6. swear to take the bloody thing for someone else to do next time.
7. replace sump nut.
8. refill with oil.
9. wonder how on earth you are going to deal with all the sump oil covering you and the street/garage floor, etc.
10. keep swearing, ad infitum.

see? simple.

Well, I suppose wearing nothing would save on the dry-cleaning bill afterwards...

Don't they charge you something like $350 an hour and isn't that illegal?

When I had a car I would take it oil and lube place it never cost me $350.00. It would cost $20.00 though and would be done in 20 minutes or less.
