Yeah! 8O

There's this girl at school, I started hanging around with her and her friends. I really like her, and I know she used to like me. She's been giving me all the little "signs" like sitting real close, laughs at all my lame ass jokes, cuddling up when she gets the chance, etc, etc... we've been talking on MSN a bit as well, and she wants me to do dinner with her and a few of our friends... (l3ik OMG) A few years ago she told me she liked me, but I blew her off not knowing what I was doing, we didn't talk much between then and now, but now we're friends. Umm, so my question is, what the hell do I do? I mean, to initiate a relationship? I think I've done pretty well so far, and this happened at the time when I least expected it... so yeah, wtf, I'm clueless and befuddled at the same time :nerdy:

just be honest with your intentions... especially since you told her that you knew she used to like her. go out to dinner with her and her friends!

Well I don't know how long this new kindling has been going but you have two options: Slow or fast.

You can either just let things play out as slow as possible until things fall into place, or you can be like (on the day of the dinner): "Zomg, so you wanna go out with me some time?"

Frankly, I recommend the first. But that's only coming from a person that isn't ready to jump into something so soon. Had I the energy and confidence I'd be like: "S0 d0 u w4n7 t0 p0r|< m3?"... (I feel disgusted typing that way, but you are the one that started the 1337 speak :P <33)

Personally, I would take it slowly, because I'd want to make 100% sure things are going the way you think they are. Go to the dinner though, and then see how things are progressing. I hope this helps :)

Ok then, how do I sort of give her a hint that I'm interested?

You lucky devil, you. If you want to show your interested, kiss her. That's what they do on TV.

To show that you're interested, do the same things she does.

It'll lead to a good moment to 'initiate' a relation.

However; don't be afraid!

Take it slow, then see how things will progress.

Some girls get bored if things move slowly and they aren't swept off their feet. I say the best thing you can do is be yourself, move at your natural pace and ask her directly for feedback. Ask if she still likes you, ask what her intentions are, ask if things are moving too fast or too slow. Just ask when no one else is around.

I agree - at least, it once worked for me.

I would suggest just telling her that you are interested. I once told a girl that I was interested in her but that I didn't really know how to flirt. That was 13 years ago, and she and I have now been married for 10 years. :D

It's not always bad to tell a woman that you are interested in her but that you have no clue how to flirt. Some females will be deeply flattered that a shy guy is so attracted to her that he is overcoming nervousness to make the attempt.

Don't worry about it. Don't like her anymore now I've got to know her... Jesus, I hate that...

I appreciate the advice anyway.

So sorry to hear that. Just be grateful that you got to know her before entering a relationship.
