Is there anyone here who liked reading MAD Magazine?

Once my student loan came through and I had money to spend, I'd gone off MAD Magazine. I spent my cash on National Lampoon, cheap draught beer and vinyl records instead. (Only after rent, food, textbooks and tuition had been covered, of course! )

The movie parodies were my fave part of MAD Magazine, but there weren't really any weak spots in it, were there? The magazine may have had a déclassé image, but in order to enjoy it properly, you needed to be seriously well-informed about the politics, current affairs and cultural events of the day.

I liked the first few issues when they came out as they made fun of Superman and Flash Gordon. Later on they got a bit stale.

I did when I was in junior high and high school, but I don't anymore. It got crass and vulgar and was no longer funny.
