This could probably go in general autism stuff, but it has some religious connotations.

Does anyone else have problems being heard by NTs, as though your voice doesn't register with them. My neighbours ask me the same questions all the time as though they've never asked me before. When I explain to them that's the 5th time they've asked me the same question they seem surprised. I've been noticing this for years with people and assumed it was an autistic thing but it just occurred to me recently that maybe it's the deafness of the unbeliever too (referring to deaf and blind bible references).

what are your experiences of this kind of 'deafness'?

Unheard, and unseen!

You should re-post the thread and title it: My American neighbours don't seem to hear me. Are all Yanks like this?

Should get 100+ views and some replies by this time tomorrow.

So they dont retain knowledge or memory of what you tell them?

It happens. I complained for years(all my life) about disliking shrimp, and then my brother cooked some and was mad cause i wouldn't eat them. "I didn't know you dont like shrimp!"

Seabugs. ugh!
