It is not a real good idea to be "apolitical" these days. 8O

I hope all my fellow AS people vote no matter what. :)

The future of this nation depends on this , and maybe our lives.

all the candiates right now are not political in the sense that it was supposed to be. When they return to being about values and not being a group hive mentality about "I'll do anything to get voted so my values change on what will most likely get me elected or I am republican so i have to agree to this value" I will be the first one in line.

I am too young to vote anyway. Plus, with the jittery panic politics always puts me in, could I make a rational choice?

The way I see it; with todays politics, it's better to be apolitical. I gave up on politics.

I really don't care about politics.
Even more, I'm pretty close to hating politics, if not already there.

I have a strong interest in politics (but am not an activist), but can sympathise with those that are apolitical - in practice one vote won't sway an election. My interest is of a more intellectual nature.
What makes me despair are not people that are apolitical, but people that vote for things that have nothing to do with policy, competence, past stands, etc - in the case of the US, for example, choosing/rejecting a candidate on the basis of how he gets along with his children, or plastic surgery, or whether he's 'black enough,' etc. I was just remembering a quote reportedly from a Mexican President in the 1950s, about his choice of successor, someone was arguing in favour of someone and mentioned that 'he would conduct a cheerful campaign' - the president answered 'the country's business isn't cheerful.'
