Do you feel human? If so what is it like to feel this? / what is it like not to feel this?

Does anybody ever feel like a robot?

I don't feel human. I feel more demonic.

I feel like I don't belong in this world... Like I shouldn't be here... Like I'm a freak. Kind of feels like a sense of pointlessness, emptiness... those kinds of things...

I dunno, it might be because I'm an anthropophobic... (Afraid of humans)

What about you, Androidbeing?

No, I don't feel human at the moment.

I am not feeling any emotions at present. I do indeed feel like a robot, like I am doing everything on automatic.

Sounds a bit like putting yourself down, at least I haven't found a good definition for human yet.

But I do feel a bit different, like I do not belong to some parts of society.
A bit on the side, but still part of humanity.

I would lie saying that I feel human; my perception of myself is that I am an entity not having any particular sex or belonging to any particular kind. I might be only a bodiless brain in a jar as well. I often fantasize about being a representative an extraterrestrial race whose members are able to change their sex according to their will or one of the X-men having body consisting of some kind of mercury changing shape, like Cessily Kincaid.

Androidbeing, what film does your avatar come from? :D I think it's one of the best avatars on Wrong Planet.

Regarding the bit about "feeling like a robot", I'll say I've experienced that: This was during a period where I was far behind with a heap of schoolwork that HAD to be handed ind and approved if I was to be granted access to the exams at all. This was a time of sleep, go to school, write a sh*tload of reports, and back to sleep -- occasionally throwing in a delivered pizza in the mix here and there.

This kind of "feeling like a robot", though, has nothing to do with being an aspie or not -- every human being will probably feel like that if subjected to sufficient amounts of work-work-work...

I don't feel very human when it comes to emotional attachment, or teamwork.

I feel like an alien... and in the worst cases, an outsider.

Very little, normally.

Lately not at all.

Neither am I a robot and would not compare myself to Lt. Cmdr. Data - he is an amiable sort.

I feel like a computer that needs to be defragged.
