I paint abstract art sometimes in my spare time, I quite like that.

I do like paintings of animals and wildlife...even though I can't paint them myself.

My knowledge of art is rather rudimentary but I've always liked Escher and Dali. I voted for surreal though I am not sure where Escher fits.

I fall outside the category.

Besides sculpture isn't a "genre" of art. You can have abstract sculptures and you can have surreal etc...

I would classify myself as a Romanticist :)

Surreal. I like Dali but I hate Jackson Pollock with all his "action painting" thing :x I start to pout every time I read something about abstract expressionism. Btw, I have one memory from my childhood when at the age of about 10, I decided to create a piece of art representing abstract style having seen what my mother asked me if it's for school and when I informed her that sheet of paper covered with strange ornaments which didn't resemble anything didn't have anything to do with my school art course, she got angry with me. While she should have been rather glad that she had a creative child.

I like surrealist landscapes...
I click landcapes as I like normal ones too but some surrealist art is just rubbish

Sluice, I like Escher too but he is a mathematical/graphic artist/designer and not often considered among artists

De Stijl? Sorry, that's a bit narrow, but it is my favorite.

I like a lot of art.

Abstract expressionism in its many forms will always hold a place in my heart, specially Rothko, but then so will the reactionary Pop Art (some of that stuff is genius, and the biggest creative finger-up I've seen!).

But then, I also like a lot of surrealism.

And some of the original 11th-16th Century 'church' art. Specially when it was being formed, looking at things like the proportions of bodies is hilarious... especially the old Italian masters, like Giotto, or the Maesta by Duccio
(For example, this one... look at the proportions of her hands, and of Jesus, and his face... like a small man, not a baby etc)

I like some de stijl works, especially that of Mondrian, but I'm not keen on the cubism it originated from, which tends to give me the creeps.

I'm also quite keen on the landscapes of Monet, his colour choices are stunning. Manet is another goodie.

And of course, the great master Da Vinci. Legend.

I used to like surrealism a lot, and I still like it conceptually (aesthetically it depends very much on the particular piece). My favorite styles tend to be Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, and my own art is influenced by these styles. I also like Art Nouveau a lot.
