Mine'd probably have post-it notes all over it and sections crossed out with comments like "f***ing useless book" and "no no no, it doesn't do that" and "no, use the red-coded neuron, not the green one. The green one causes unpleasant things"

Depends on how big it is. I don't want to be intimidated by it, but I'd like to get maximum performance out of the brain.

Maybe . . . It depends on whether or not it would describe my death. I don't want to know how or when I'm going to die. If it were truly a complete, manual, I think it would have to at least mention the brain's life expectancy.
