Hi, my name is Bond and this is my first post on Wrong Planet.

My brother is a musician in his senior year of high school. For his graduation project his band is going to have a benefit concert for Autism Awareness, but there's one thing he's having trouble with. He needs a good, clever/creative name for this concert. If anyone's interested, I'd like to hear any ideas the users of Wrong Planet might have for a name for this concert. All suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a link to a video my brother made for his friends to advertise his benefit concert (You'll need a FaceBook account to view).

I'm curious. Is your brother on the spectrum?
Welcome to wrongplanet by the way.
Hmmm...names...I think a generic one would pass but good luck with your search.

Thanks for the welcome.
And to answer your question: no, my brother is NT. But I'm AS.

The music my brother will be playing is original progressive rock. So far the only name we came up with was Progtism (progressive+autism). Out of all the people who are involved in this concert, our family are the only ones who think that name is clever. Everyone else involved doesn't think so.

"progtism"
Veh, I don't like it personally. If you're going to think of a clever name, it has to be something attractive. Progtism is just kinda weird.
The only reason for a clever name is to attract customers, and no one is going to make the connection about "progtism". They just won't.

Yeah "Progtism" is not an attractive word in print and it is awkward to say.
I don't have Facebook anymore because it got really creepy for me. Does he have a MySpace or another link where audio is posted?
What about "Odd Meter" or something like that, some kind of a play like that, because prog uses odd meters and Aspies and Auties are odd! In a really cool way!

Hey guys, this is Bond's brother, Blaize. Thanks for helping me out so far with thinking up a name for this concert. I made a post in the general discussion HERE a couple days ago with info that might be able to help you. I'm also trying to put up that video on to youtube so everybody can view it. Once that's up I'll post again. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post.

I'm not sure about "Ausoteric". I had to look up esoteric to understand that name. Could you explain your "Ausoteric" idea more?

"Autism Rocks" might make a good name, I'll put that up for consideration to the group who is involved with the benefit concert.

If anyone has any more ideas I'd love to hear them. And thanks again to everyone who made a suggestion so far.

Autistock is a very clever and funny name. I really like it.

Autism Awareness Benefit Concert might make a good subtitle for the name of the concert. It would be useful in making it clear that the concert is supporting autism.
