Who can tell me what is the direct-access download URL and
what are the conditions for providing the direct-access download URL?

I beg your pardon, what do you mean? Your post's URL is http://wrongplanet.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=84750#84750. I really don't know if that's what you mean, though.

The things are that, I have a web site and having some files for everybody to download. The ordinary download URL I provided is http://mysite/a.exe, but
some companies they demand a direct-access download URL for downloading automatically to their library. So the ordinary download URL did not work for
them. I don't know just what is the direct-access download URL.

Thank you.

Dear jb814,

Many thanks for your post. It is valuable info in the article you provided.

http://oraclepartnernetwork.oracle.com/help/sblpath.htm

I've read carefully but I some points are not clear for me. I would like to
get your help again.

How can I find the GUID? I don't understand the method specified in the article.
According the following sentance, "You can find out an item's GUID by
right-clicking the item and choosing Copy Location (Internet Explorer)"
I made a right-clicking the item on IE, but no Copy Location appeared.

Other more, what kind of file belong to the "item", can *.exe file belong
to item?

Three ways to get a url using IE without left clicking on a link. open the right click menu on the link pick copy shortcut than paste into notepad. or the properties than copy and paste that into notepad. And if IE is set up right you can see it . How to do that in IE go to the view menu click status bar on you will see the url on the bottom left.

GUID is Microsoft Hokum and as such I have no idea of where you will find it. I'd suggest that for a link as broken as this seems to be you should try contacting the admin for the site. If I'm reading your post correctly then the link (confusingly referred to as items) is malformed and not operating as a link. Right-clicking on text will get you nowhere. Sorry.
